| So who am I? |
| Basically, I'm someone who enjoys exploring, photographing, hiking, and skiing (season permitting) in wild places. Any place that has been preserved in its natural state draws me in, whether it is a small state park in Florida, an old growth forest in the Pacific Northwest, or the vast, seemingly unending lands of Alaska. Since, until recently, my home was in the intermountain West, Salt Lake City, Utah, many of the images seen on these pages represent the rich diversity of the area: mountain vistas, high desert plateaus, and redrock formations; yet there are also scenes from places as varied as Santiago, Chile and the Adirondack Mountains in New York. I am now a resident of New York, and am looking forward to exploring the wild lands and story-book villages of the American Northeast. |

| I have been photographing natural scenes for over two decades. My images have been sold in independent galleries in places such as Truckee, California, and have been published in regional outlets like the Nevada Magazine. They can also be seen in numerous newsletters, pamphlets, and mailings of the Utah Chapter of the Sierra Club. |
| The equipment I use to capture these scenes includes a Wisner 4 x 5 Technical Field Camera with lenses ranging in focal lengths from 90mm to 300mm. A 6 x 7 roll-film back is also used mainly for panoramas and close-ups. Since I do quite a bit of hiking and backpacking, I use a lightweight Gitzo carbon fiber tripod. It all stows into an Osprey Pack for day hiking and a Dana Designs pack for the many overnight trips. |
| All of these images have been scanned and perfected in Adobe Photoshop. Prints and cards are printed on 100% cotton rag photo paper with pigment inks. |
